Rising Star Usher's Ministry Number 2
The #2 Usher Ministry meets monthly on the 3rd Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
We serve on the 3rd Sunday for both worship services (Uniform
Schedule) .
Mission
The mission of the Usher Ministry is to provide comfort and promote
the
fellowship necessary in God’s house. As ushers, we are doorkeepers
in the
house of God. We are Christ’s ambassadors with a mission to bring
people to God. Through us the hospitality of God is seen. Our
role is important because it is the Lord we serve. This is done in
such ways as:
Greeting persons with a smile
-
Extending a warm welcome
-
Maintaining order at all times, for God is not the author of
confusion

Being alert to available seats
and being ready to lead worshippers to the vacant seats.
A good usher must have Christ-like minds with Christ-like ways. We
are like a lamp on a stand; ‘not put under a bushel, but on a
candlestick that giveth light unto all that are in the house.’
(Matthew 5:15)
The usher must make himself/herself a committee of one to help one
another in fulfilling God’s plan of teaching and serving.
